The payphone, that dirty, slimy, questionable phone that only cost a quarter to use for up to 5 minutes is almost completely extinct… AND IT’S SO NOT RIGHT.
Bringing it back could raise millions for the homeless to have housing if they allowed a person to hear the latest jokes, job line, or songs for a quarter and make a neighborhood safer by bringing a telephone that is accessible to call emergency services and city/state/federal resources. Most importantly, create a cool teen job as cleaning them and reporting when they aren’t working will be important to every location.
